TOTO SALES MEETING IN GRAND ISLAND

September 3rd, 2010 marketing

TOTOTrainingGIWell, after many postponements, the Toto product seminar was finally held on Thursday, Sept. 2nd.

Manufacturer’s Rep Doug Passmore conducted the pair of two-hour sessions at the Grand Island branch. All of KSC- GI’s salesmen participated and were joined by Gary Schaefer of Columbus and Rick Hoffman from the North Platte branches.

While there was discussion and a working demonstration of Toto’s high end toilets, as well as washlets and hand dryers, the emphasis was on the Toto ECO Flush Valve, both for closet and urinal. The Toto quality appears to be unmatched, but the thrust of the product’s “salesnomics” is the valve’s working parts.

The only replaceable repair part is an inexpensive seal. Among other features and benefits are the piston technology (plastic–nothing to wear out or corrode); auto-resetting (competitive brands require a manual reset); self-programming; protected electronics; self-cleaning solenoid (unique to the industry); and “Fuzzy Logic” (ensures sanitary TOTOFlushValveflush).

Since repairs are minimal and the design virtually eliminates down time and the need to inventory expensive replacement parts, this flush valve warrants visibility in a large market that includes hospitals and care centers, schools, airports, and stadiums.

Doug’s presentation was extremely informative and his willingness to work with the KSC sales force is welcome.

The Toto product is exemplary of the quality and cost effectiveness that Kelly Supply strives to offer its customers.
